Last night at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain, CHS Vocal Music Director Kimberly Duerksen was honored with the Transformative Teacher Award, becoming the first rural teacher and the first Clinton teacher to receive this prestigious honor. 👏

The Transformative Teacher Award recognizes instructors who have made a profound impact on the lives and artistic journeys of their students through their dedication to their craft and their commitment as educators.

Mrs. Duerksen was nominated for this award by her student, Layne Spitz, a member of the 2026 OSAI Chorus. This recognition is a reflection of the lasting influence she has had on her students through her passion for music, mentorship, and unwavering support.

Through her leadership, Mrs. Duerksen continues to inspire students to find their voices, grow as artists, and pursue excellence in the arts.

What a weekend for our High School soccer boys! ⚽️🔥

Congratulations to the WOFC 08/09 boys on an incredible run at the 2026 Presidents Cup South Central Region Tournament in Round Rock, Texas! After a hard-fought 90 minutes in the championship match, the team battled, ultimately falling just short after penalty kicks.

At Southwest Elementary, math mastery is celebrated! 🧮🎉

Each week, students participate in "Twister Time," where they take a challenging five-minute math-fact test prepared by their teachers. With 100 questions to answer and a required score of 95% or higher to pass, students put their skills and speed to the test in multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, and reducing fractions.

Students who successfully pass the multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction tests earn a special invitation from Mrs. Regina Miller to join Math Club! 🎉

The week was filled with hard work, early morning and late-night practices, and plenty of growth under the leadership of new head coach Reagan Garcia. The team also enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making memories alongside their neighbors from Weatherford Pom.

Most importantly, these athletes improved, grew closer as a team, and proudly represented Clinton throughout the week.
