Winter weather across the region has led to an emergency blood shortage, and our community can help make a difference right away.

You can give hope today, Wednesday, January 28, by donating blood at Clinton High School until 2:30pm. Every donation helps patients in need during this critical time.

If you’re able, please stop by and give the gift of life. ❤️🩸

Please join us in recognizing our most recent Educator of the Game, Mr. Jeston Laney. He was recommended by students who say he has already made a strong impact in his first year at Clinton High School by creating a classroom that feels safe, fun, and welcoming. 💛

Mr. Laney is a 2025 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the newest member of the CHS history team. He has a deep love for history and enjoys helping students connect with the past in meaningful ways. Students describe him as patient and genuinely caring, with a teaching style that makes history and geography engaging while ensuring every student feels heard and supported.

Many students were especially touched by a recent email he sent, thanking them for a great year and telling them how proud he is of them. That simple gesture meant a great deal and speaks to the heart he brings to his classroom each day.

Thank you, Mr. Laney, for the passion, kindness, and dedication you bring to Clinton students. 👏🌪️

Please help us recognize another recent Educator of the Game, Ms. Ashley Kelley. She was recommended by students who describe her as caring, down-to-earth, and someone who makes them feel comfortable and supported every day. 🎉

Ms. Kelley has taught at Clinton High School for eight years, creating a cozy, welcoming, and stylish classroom that is always a little caffeinated and never ordinary. She teaches Broadcasting, Advanced Broadcasting, Journalism, Fundamentals of Technology, and Senior Capstone, and also serves as the head coach of Mock Trial. Ms. Kelley has built a unique niche that blends creativity, competition, and real-world skills through hands-on, experimental learning experiences.

Her proudest accomplishments as a teacher are seeing her students succeed. She looks forward to the day they become successful, tax-paying citizens so that one day, she might finally be able to retire. She believes education should be meaningful, challenging, and memorable, and she loves giving back to the community that has supported her throughout her teaching career. 💛

Thank you, Ms. Kelley, for going above and beyond for your students and teams, and for the heart, creativity, and dedication you bring to Clinton High School every day. 👏🌪️

This morning, Clinton Middle School received an anonymous threat. As a precaution, all school sites were placed on lockdown while the situation was investigated.

We have received the all clear from law enforcement, and all schools have returned to normal operations.

Student safety is our highest priority. Law enforcement and school administrators responded immediately, all safety protocols were followed, and students and staff are safe. Learning continued with minimal disruption.

Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to keep our schools safe.

Important Update January 20
Clinton High School Vocal Music students spent Thursday with Dr. Jim Graves, Director of Choral Activities at Southern Nazarene University, during a special clinic as they prepare for their OkMEA Honor Performance this week.

Students received valuable feedback and guidance as they fine-tuned their music for this prestigious event. This clinic was made possible through a grant from the Clinton Public School Foundation, and we are grateful for their continued support of our arts programs.

So proud of these directors and singers and the dedication they bring to their work!

A special thank you to Dr. Sophia Lee from Southwestern Oklahoma State University for providing accompaniment for both rehearsal and their performance.
