National Honor Society

National Honor Society LogoClinton High School National Honor Society

National Honor Society is the oldest academic organization in the nation if not the world. Developed in 1920, it remains a pillar of excellence formed on the four basic principles: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Clinton High School developed its chapter in 2015 and continues to evolve and develop with each passing year.

The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Clinton High School.

Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty and shall be based on the criteria of the four basic principles of the National Honor Society.

Membership in this chapter is an honor and not a requirement. As an organization, we strive to uphold the high integrity and excellence expected for such an honor. Members are looked at as leaders of the school by both staff and the student body alike as well as the community. National Honor Society helps the youth of today to develop character and a love for service.

As a member of the National Honor Society, academia beyond high school holds membership in NHS in high regard and considers membership in this organization a demonstration of high moral character.
