Rule of the Week

 

Rule #1:  When responding to adults, answer with a yes ma'am or no sir.

 
Rule #2:  Make eye contact. When someone is speaking, keep your eyes on him or her at all times. If someone makes a comment, turn and face that person.
 

Rule #3:  Do not smack your lips, tsk, roll your eyes, or show disrespect with gestures.

 

Rule #4:  Always say thank you when someone gives you something or does something for you

 

Rule #5:  If you win or do well at something, do not brag.  If you lose, do not show anger.

 

Rule #6:  Suprise others by performing random acts of kindness.  Go out of your way to do something kind and generous for someone at least once a week.

Rule 7:  When a substitute teacher is present, you will follow all the rules and be on your best behavior.

 
Rule 8:  When someone bumps into you, say "excuse me" even if it wasn't your fault.
 

Rule 9:  Do not chew with your mouth open.

Rule 10:  No matter the situation, always be honest.

Rule11:  When transitioning from one subject to the other, the change will be swift, quiet, and orderly.

 

Rule 12:  Cover your mouth whenever you sneeze or cough and say "Excuse Me".  
 
Rule 13:   Be positive and enjoy life. Some things just aren’t worth getting upset over. Focus on the good in your life.
 
Rule 14:  Hold the door open for people rather than letting it close on them.
 
 

Rule 15:  When at an assembly do not shout out or call out to your friends.

 

Rule 16.  Accept that you will make mistakes.  Learn from them and move on.

 
Rule 17: When meeting someone new, shake their hand and repeat their name.
 

Rule 18.  Eliminate the 4 basic failure fears:  Fear of competition, Fear of controversy, Fear of what others say, and Fear of what you can't control.

 
Rule 19.  Have the courage to say no.  Have the courage to face the truth.  Do the right thing because it is right.  
 

Rule 20:  Success requires hard work, persistence and a little creativity.
