A Message From the Superintendent Of Clinton Public Schools
"Home of the Red Tornados"
Dear Clinton Parents and Patrons,
It is a tremendous honor to serve as Superintendent of Clinton Public Schools. One of the biggest factors that contribute to the success of a school is the support it receives from the parents and patrons in the community. A child's level of performance is directly related to the amount of time each parent/guardian is able to spend with them. Clinton has a longstanding tradition of excellence in the classroom and extracurricular activities due to the active role that many people in our community take part in.
Our enrollment continues to increase as we have over 2,300 students enrolled at this time. The administration offices are located at 1720 Opal Blvd. This facility contains three state of the art professional development labs for teachers, students, and the community. We are continuing to make improvements and renovating at all sites.
Recent projects include the following:
Clinton High School
Remodeled the basement
Painted and repaired the eaves
Gave the north side of the school a facelift
Clinton Middle School
Expanded the art and technology centers
Enclosed the entire campus
Washington Elementary School
Completed drop ceilings throughout the building
Added running water to the Science labs
Painted the gym
Southwest Elementary School
Remodeled the Library Media Center
Upgraded parking lot on the east side of the building
Added an office area parking lot
Nance Elementary School
Added a Reading Garden to the northeast side
Technology continues to advance at Clinton with over 2500 ipads and 1,000 Chromebooks in use as educational tools for our students. Every Clinton teacher has access to classroom sound systems, smartboards, personal ipads and laptops as they prepare our students for the 21st century. Clinton also hosted the third annual Recharge Technology Workshop with many of our amazing teachers hosting sessions. Clinton administrators and teachers are showcasing our advances in technology by presenting at various conferences including OSSBA, OTA, TCEA, Governors Technology Summit, OKASBO, USSA, and numerous Edcamps.
We, at Clinton Public Schools, commit ourselves everyday to provide the best quality education for the children of our community. There are many opportunities to become volunteers in various capacities. I encourage everyone to become even more active with Clinton Public Schools.
